First daycare visit for Northbridge dogs.
Every dog starts with a first visit. It’s how we get to know them, and how you get to know us.
Good for: Every new dog

First daycare visit for Northbridge.
Living in Northbridge makes a first visit easy. Walk your dog to Birch Walk, say hello and see how they settle.
A first daycare visit is a short, relaxed introduction. You bring your dog to Birch Walk, meet the team and spend a little time together while your dog explores the room and says hello at their own pace.
While they settle in, we talk through how they enjoy company, how they play, when they like a break and anything else that helps them feel at home. Those notes become the start of every daycare day that follows.
Afterwards we’ll tell you how it went and talk about what might suit your dog next: the odd daycare day, a regular weekly routine or a calmer plan built around their care notes.
How it works.

Settling in.
Some dogs walk in and make friends straight away. Others like to watch from the side for a while, and that’s fine. We let your dog set the pace and keep the first visit relaxed, so their first impression of RifPaw is a good one.
If your dog finds the first visit a lot, we’ll talk about what might help, like a shorter first day, a quieter corner or starting with an individual care plan. There’s no rush.
From Northbridge to Birch Walk.
A typical Northbridge morning starts with a walk to Birch Walk. You hand over the lead at the door, we check today’s notes, and your dog heads in to say hello to their friends while you head to work.
On foot
Many Northbridge dogs arrive on their morning walk. It’s a good way to start their day calm and ready to settle.
On the way to work
Drop off from 8:00 am on weekdays and pick up by 6:00 pm, so daycare fits around a normal working day.
Apartment living
If your dog spends long days in an apartment, a regular daycare routine gives them company and space to play.
